Psych tests & treat: Interviews miss 54% while physical exams 51% so sensitively specifically identifying your challenge is the first step which should be the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory Second or Adolescent Edition computerized report. Next depending upon the objective diagnosis cognitive behavior therapy, imagery, meditation, yoga, exercise, diet and schedule are crucial to begin stress reduction.

Carrying stress: Everyone carries stress differently. Some people in their shoulders. Others in their back. And still others in many other places. It's great that you have recognized this as an area that affects you. I recommend progressive muscle relaxation techniques that scan the body to relieve tension.

Possibly: some people develop tension in the muscles of the scalp and neck when stressed or anxious. This can lead to pain & tenderness. Recommend learning breathing techniques to progressive muscle relaxation/ meditation to help deal with this. Take care.
