Possibly: Neck pain with movement, headaches, and dizziness are cardinal signs of meningitis, likely a viral meningitis if you do not have fever or other signs of illness. However, there could be other causes as well. While viral meningitis is self-limiting, there can rarely be sequelae and other causes of your symptoms may be more serious. Please see your provider for evaluation and further management.

No: No, because patients with meningitis will have at least two of the following: fever 101F or more, significant headache, stiff neck and change in mental status (ranging from confusion or lethargy to semi-responsive or comatose).

With meningitis, the: neck is usually stiff (a finding that the doctor finds), as opposed to sore. There is also generally fever. However, you should be examined by your doctor or at an emergency room if you don't have a doctor, so that the proper diagnosis can be made and treatment, if necessary begun.
