Should if correct...: Antibiotics. If you have a kidney infection (pyelonephritis) then the correct antibiotics should cure the infection. I'm sure you doctor ordered a urine culture and sensitivity to find out what bug is causing the infection and started the correct antibiotic (Ciprofloxacin in your case). You should see improvement of fever/chills and pain within 2 weeks. If not call your doctor!
