Which molar?: If a maxillary molar with roots that penetrate into the sinus, your surgeon will advise you to wait until the socket heals before blowing your nose.

Not on the top.: If you have had a tooth extraction in the maxillary posterior area (upper back part of the mouth), you shouldn't blow your nose. This is due to the close proximity of the Maxillary sinus. The sinus membrane lining is very thin, thinner than a hair, it can open and cause a perforation connecting the oral environment with sinus environment. Likelihood of infection increases and post operative issues

Not recommended: Do not blow your nose for at least 10 days after surgery. Also when sneezing during the first two weeks, pay attention and sneeze with the mouth open to avoid applying pressure to the sinuses. Good luck!

Sure: sure, but can you cause enough pressure to blow out the clot...yep, but no worries. Just keep the area clean and if you need to blow your nose just do it softly (if you can)
