Proteinuria: Zinnat is an antibiotic and infection is not usually the cause of proteinuria. Protein appears in the urine when the glomerulus filtering system is damaged and protein leaks thru the holes in the system. What other evidence do you have of kidney disease? diabetes for example? I would recommend repeating in a month with a urine albumin/creatinine urine test rather than a dip stick test.
