It can be : considered normal. Commonly, this is the result of excess endometrial tissue that did not exit the body during your period. This can be expelled in the form of red or dark brown discharge and is not a cause for concern. But this could also be a symptom of a vaginal infection, or if later in the cycle, implantation bleeding associated with pregnancy. If it continues or other symptoms occur, see Doc
