A member asked:

I had a ct scan done on my chest for the first time and was wondering if it's normal to have 4 images taken at once? is that alot? to much radiation?

Not sure: What you mean by four images at once. Do you mean it was a 4 detector spiral/multi slice scanner? If so, then that is the way the scanner normally operates. Did they actually scan your chest 4 times? That would be unusual. Did they do 4 sets of reconstructions after the scan? That is normal post processing from data obtained from a single scan. Can you be more specific?
