Neither 1st choice: Neither Tryptizol (amitriptyline) nor Remeron (mirtazapine) would be on the top of my list for treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. I agree with earlier response regarding using an SSRI ( like Lexapro, Celexa, Zoloft, Prozac, etc.)
