I been having red bumps on the back of my throat for a while now close to a month and its been keeping me from eating very much because my throat gets swollen and i have trouble swollowing is it a normal strep throat? i been taking ampicillin for a while

If you did not have : a Quick-Srep Test or throat culture that was positive for Group A Streptococcus before starting antibiotics, no one can know if "strep throat" was or is the cause of your symptoms. You'd have to stop antibiotics for a while to obtain a valid throat culture, but your doctor can order blood tests for antibodies to mononucleosis & strep & look for other causes of your protracted symptoms.
