No concern.: This just means that one of the nail cells is producing melanin and coloring the nail. There is nothing you can do about it and nothing that should be concerning to you about it. You are just special!

Melanonychia.: Actually, this condition is quite common in the African American population. The concerns you might have only become relevant if you have a family history of melanoma, if there is a notable change in the look of the line or if you begin to see a discoloration in the nail cuticle. If there should ever be a question, seek a specialist for advice.
