A member asked:

Can drying your skin with hot air from a hairdryer cause skin cancer if it is very hot but not unbearably hot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Severe burns leaving large scars sometimes form sarcomas and squamous cell carcinomas. Most skin cancers are related to radiation, usually UV. No skin cancers from blowing hot air.
