Adults are evalu-: ated for ADHD by psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists & some neurologists. Clinical criteria for ADHD = 6/9 significant symptoms of Inattention +/- Hyperactivity/Impulsivity that caused harmful dysfunction at school & home for at least 6 mos. by age 10. Your family, medical, academic, social/adaptive & behavioral history are as important as your current symptoms of Inattention.

Yes: Can certainly be looked for in adults. Would need to be assessed by the appropriate type of provider. I am unfortunately not aware of Canadian policies. According to DSM 5.
