1.Yes 2.not usually: Anemia is a low blood count. You may have an artificailly high blood count on the lab test (rapid bleed, dehydration) but this effect would disappear on a repeat test. But mds also look for symptoms (shortness of breath, weakness, fatigue, light headedness) if your count is good and you do not have symptoms of anemia you can probably believe the result. Why do you ask?
