Dermatology Consult: It sounds like you need to see a Dermatologist. A Dermatologist will examine the area and see if you have folliculitis, an inflammation of the hair follicles, or furuncles, larger skin abscesses. He or she will probably ask you to take a break from shaving the area. Another possibility is Hidradenitis suppurativa, but your Dermatologist will be the best person to help you with this problem.
