A member asked:

I gained 42 lbs in pregnancy and baby looks on track to be 8.5-9lbs. dr keeps saying it's a chubby baby with big belly. my fault for overeating??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Appropriate weight gain for each mother during pregnancy varies. It depends on where you started, too. Try to eat healthy and stay active. Some babies are born at 9 pounds no matter how much weight is gained.
