Moms bp is high when taken 1st time then comes in range.today she woke up in the night with sweat and palpitations.bp & pulse ok.she on bp meds.help.

More info: Not all BP pills last 24hrs. Sometimes need 1/2 2X a day, or dif med. Palps unclear(definition: aware of Heart Beat, not nec irregular). I need to know what med, when she takes, and when symptoms occur. Could be a serious condition, or inadequate med. Reasonable to seek med attention with doctor. Sounds to be serious: Is she having any chest pain and/or SOB? I would be concerned for a cardiac issue. This sounds to be an emergency. I would immediately take her to the ER so she can have an EKG done and repeat of her vitals.
