"rolled ankle": Normally sprained ankles heal within 4-6 weeks. the most common injury is an inversion type when the lateral part of the foot drops down - you can fracture with that type of injury. Given the fact that you are 5 months out and still having swelling and pain my suggestion would be to see your doctor and get an x-ray. You may find that you have a healing fracture that needs addressed

See local Dr.: Get an x-ray to make sure there is no bone injury. You may require an MRI to assess the ligaments and tendons of the ankle on that side. Keep a brace on it to protect it until a definitive diagnosis can be made.
