Can drinking shots of alcohol give someone a sore throat?

Potentially: Particularly if drinking "high-test" stuff--like >90 proof (>45% ethanol). Everclear (190 proof) absolutely does this, and can even cause pain in mouth and to lips (one reason why not sold widely). Depends on experience and tolerance of drinker. Please drink w/a dd & in moderation, no matter what your poison!
