Tylenol/Motrin: Abdominal muscle strain is very common after exuberant vomiting. It's perceptive of you to recognize this as muscular pain. This pain can take several days to gradually improve, even a week or 2 wouldn't be unheard-of for total recovery. It's safe to use over-the-counter analgesics to relieve pain. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is easier on your stomach than ibuprofen and may be preferred here.
