No: Ear infection from yeast would be outside of the eardrum (otitis externa), and surgery has no potential to benefit otitis externa unless you have a very abnormal ear canal. The key here lies in using anti fungal drops as prescribed then maintaining good ear hygiene: never put anything in the ear canal, blow-dry after getting wet, treat wax problems with sweet oil or other softener, swim cap/plugs
