My foot feels numb in the heel of my left foot. when i walk maybe once are twice it felt like maybe plastic was on my foot. it only happens when i lay down.also when i hold things to long it feel like my hand may go numb (not all the time but sometimes )

Second toe of right foot has been numb for 5 months. Only on the top between the nail and where the toe meets foot. That toe is longer than the others. I used to have on-off pain in that area. No redness/swelling. I walk 6 miles/day. Ideas?
