Sunscreen: Trying to schedule activities before 10 am and after 4 pm (daylight savings time) avoids solar exposure at times of peak intensity. Patients need to be reminded that on cloudy days as much as 80% of UVR may still penetrate the cloud cover. Everyone regardless of skin phototype, is subject to the potential adverse effects of UV radiation and may benefit from sunscreen

No: Depends on skin type, activities, time of day, time of year, meds, history of skin cancers, prior exposure and prior damage from sun, radiation, UV lamps.
