A member asked:

How do depressed people deal with functioning at work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: Sometimes changing work environment a bit can do wonders. Sometimes just telling your boss what you're dealing with is the best route. Sure, there are cases of depression that cause total disability for a while, but those are the exception. Remember depression is extremely common. Odds are, some of your co-workers or supervisors have either dealt with it themselves or had a loved one with it.
