Endocrinologist: It means that there is abnormal enlargement of the thyroid gland, which has three zones, symmetrically. An enlargement of a parathyroid gland is called hyperplasia. These findings are abnormal and are considered a multiglandular problem which requires the evaluation and treatment advice from an endocrinologist.
