Not BV: Unless your cervix is bleeding due to severe inflammation this is not BV. Irregular bleeding can be caused by many things. You might need an exam or discussion with your doc as this is probably a different problem. Most likely a simple hormone imbalance but I can't say with the information given.

See doctor: You should follow-up with your doctor ASAP for a thorough physical examination. That said, vaginitis can cause bleeding & you may need additional (or more powerful) antibiotics if the infection was not cured previously. If the blood discharge is significant or appears tarry - head to the ER as this could be something much more serious. Hope that helps!

How did you: Know that the BV came back while you are bleeding heavily? And how long have you been bleeding nonstop? Sometimes the cycle is disturbed by different factors such as lack of proper nutrition or too much of it, exercise, illnesses, infections, mood swings, trauma, or even weather. Be patient and wait for it to reset itself. If it does not in a couple of weeks, see a healthcare provider.
