Bed bugs: Bedbug bites are difficult to distinguish from other arthropod bites. A linear series of bites found on awakening suggests bedbugs, but does not occur in all cases. The "linear feeding" may occur as a single bedbug probes multiple times looking for a productive capillary or from many bedbugs feeding along a zone of exposed skin.
