A member asked:

I have a cold and my monocyte count is slightly higher that the normal range, could it be because i have a cold?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would have helped to have the actual results. However, slightly elevated monocyte count by itself is not a cause for concern.
