Think tetanus: Rabies is an animal based disease (zoonosis) so that is not a consideration here. Tetanus, however, is. So make sure you are up to date on tetanus vaccine. You will likely need to get that cleaned out properly, esp. if it was a puncture wound. I recommend going to an urgent care center where they can professionally clean it out and give you a tetanus booster if you're due.
