Periods stopped 4 months ago, but im ovulating over and over each month or so. im not pregnant. so whats up?

Not possible: At age 48 you are probably peri menopausal if not post menopausal. Although ovulation can occur without a period prior to its' occurrence a 4 month period hiatus does NOT connote ovulatory cycles. You can see a GYN MD and get a blood test both for HCG(pregnancy) and FSH(menopause) to confirm or deny your "condition".
