Possible anxiety?: Since you say that it happens randomly during the day, and you report no other symptoms, it may be anxiety related. Recommend you see your doctor for a complete evaluation to rule out any other causes.

Probably developing Asthma if one did not already have it earlier in childhood. Usually an Allergen, dust, smoke, pollutants in one's current environment could be acting as Triggers to induce chest tightness. Fairly Easy to treat See MD
