A member asked:

For 57+ yr old female what type of anemia is it with hb 11.1, pcv 35.4, rbc 3.75, ferritin 39 & b12 498 ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, The information you provided is insufficient for a diagnosis. Going by probabilities you have mild iron deficiency anemia. It would be okay to take oral iron supplement and multivitamin.
