Depends: is this vision problem with near vision and distance vision or near/distance vision only? Prism in your lenses is used to help amblyopia commonly known as lazy eye, or problems with near convergence. This is when the eyes must come together to see something up close. The lens has to work harder to see things close up. Best to discuss these Issues with your eye doctor. Sorry not more helpful. Dr R
