If your childhood : Immunizations were completed according to CDC recommendations & your last Tdap booster was at 11-12 years, you are due for another Tdap. Rust doesn't caused tetanus; the bacterium Clostridium tetani, commonly found in soil, dust & manure, does when it enters the skin through a puncture wound or cut by a contaminated object.
