You should be eating a well-balanced diet. Talk to your doctor about why you're only eating soup and cereal. Also look for more support, join a parenting group See: http://www.everydayhealth.com/depression/coping-with-situational-depression.aspx and http://www.mentalhealthwales.net/mhw/whole_caring.php I hope this helps.

Therapy will help: You probably know that it isn't healthy to eat only cereal and soup. In the situation that you describe you should also have the opportunity to have therapy in addition to the medication that has been prescribed for you. I am sure that you have strong and complicated feelings about which you should talk with a psychotherapist.
