May need eval.: It's hard to say what's going on without more information. How long has the pain been present? Is there any visible swelling, warmth, or redness? Is there locking or giving way? Are there other symptoms such as rash, fever, diarrhea, etc? Are any other joints involved? If the problem is new and the answer to the other questions is no, I would try a little rest and simple pain medicine.
