It varies: You have maybe 5 years of fertility, and it depends on how the tubal ligation was done, how much of your tubes remain, and the skill of the surgeon. There are very few specialists any more who do this surgery since in vitro methods have largely replaced it. These procedures need to be done on a regular basis to maintain the necessary skills. A poorly done job is worse than not doing it all.
