Pulmonary specialist: I would recommend a pulmonary specialist consultation. This probably depends on the severity of the bronchiectasis. Certain severe chronic bronchiectasis may need long term antibiotic prevention. Mild bronchiectasis from treated nontuberculous mycobacterial infection may just need chest physiotherapy or bronchodilators.
