A member asked:

Is ffr now the standard of care in questionable coronary angiographic lesions (not verified by ischemia using non invasive studies) ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no...: A good history followed by provocative non-invasive testing will tell if a lesion is clinically significant, especially in the "gray area" of FFR. If doing "drive by" angiography, without clinical indications, FFR can help make a decision. Cardiac catheterization, while arguably "low risk", is not without it's risks. It should never be done without clinical indications, (not verified)
