The most puzzling: aspect of your question is why the urgent need to have a period? Certainly, in a woman with a normal reproductive system, menses can be induced by the administration of a prescribed hormone, medroxyprogesterone. Bleeding will ensue after 7-10 days. The cycle can also be regulated with birth control pills. But why the urgency? I hope you are not trying to prove you are NOT pregnant. If so, DON'T DO

Talk to GYN: Yes there is a way but may take a couple of weeks . A GYN doctor can help you out on this but I am curious as to why having a period for non-medical reason is so urgent for you. Is this a cultural issue?
