Probably yes, but...: As you obviously know, the partners of people with chlamydia must be treated. Ideally they should be tested as well, but treatment should be given without waiting for test results, or even if testing isn't done. Many doctors or hospitals will do this automatically, but this varies a lot; and he will definitely have to "sign in" if he is tested. Or he may need to go to a clinic or pharmacy.
