A member asked:

How long is it supposed to it take for bacteria to grow on the kitchen counter and cutting board?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No time: A certain amount of bacteria will be present but if you have had raw chicken there may be salmonella already on it, other things might leave e coli if not cleaned well. Cracks in counter tops and cuts in cutting boards are especially bad about holding food which may already be contaminated or get that way in a few hrs. Don't take chances keep both very clean!
