i missed my period last month,is it possible to still ovulate?

Yes: A missed period can mean you didn't ovulate. Possible reasons would include pregnancy, approaching menopause, PCOS, etc. But ovulation can be intermittent. So its possible to not ovulate one month but pick up with ovulation next month. At 43, don't count on anovulation to prevent pregnancy. That is a good way to find yourself pregnant unexpectedly. Best wishes!
