Hard to say: Sensory nerves in the ears, nose and throat are very interconnected. Issues in the ear can cause a sore throat and vice versa. The usual things such as warm salt water gargle, over-the-counter pain reliever are they mainstays of treatment. If no better in 7 to 10 days or worse, see your doctor for evaluation
