Not unusual: Had it not been for irregular menses or menstrual problems, many Ob/Gyns would actually have free time! Changes in your body's level of the hormones estrogen and progesterone, very frequently disrupt the normal pattern of your period. BUT, if you miss more than three menstrual periods (either consecutively or over the course of a year) you should see a doctor to discuss management options.
