Could be many things: could be many things - usually physical examinations will not tell all the cues necessary for diagnosis. you may need a shoulder MRI to assess ligament damage (if any) if you have neck pain, you may need a C spine MRI to ensure that this is not coming from C spine Treatment will depend on diagnosis..but if its a musculoskeletal problem, NSAIDs should be tried first.
