Regulate and check: If you take your contraceptive pills regularly,your periods should be lighter and regular (and risk of pregnancy 6-9%)if not, would advise finding the reason and perhaps switching to most effective contraceptives which are the copper IUD, hormonal IUD or subdermal implant. Although "it is ok to take PT any time" the earliest time for a blood pregnancy test is 10 days after sexual intercourse.
