Potatoes: This food is a substantial source of carbohydrate. As part of a balanced diet with protein and far, it is fine to eat. Eating a proper number of calories with a proper nutrient balance is the key to healthy nutrition.

Only with the skin.: Potatoes are not complex carbohydrates, so they behave more like a sugar than, say, brown rice. With the skin you'd at least get some fiber and nutrients. French fries are bad. Cheesy potato skins are bad. Just have a simple baked potato.
