Obgyn visit: The answer depends on what her periods are normally like. If this is different than her usual cycles she should have an evaluation by an obgyn. A pelvic exam and sonogram should be done. They may want to do an endometrial biopsy or evaluate the uterine cavity by sonohystogram or hysteroscopy depending on her unique case.
