Antibiotics: Any antibiotic can cause C. difficile infection, but having mushy stool while on antibiotics does not mean that that has happened. If you were prescribed antibiotics for a good reason, you should try to take the entire course of them. If you're having problems, contact your doctor. Do not stop them early unless advised to by the physician who prescribed them. Good luck.
