Probably: it is possible that the anxiety/shock of having eaten the mold will cause more havoc than the mold itself. Sometimes toxins are present and usually cause symptoms within hours (nausea, vomiting, dizziness, aching most predominantly). If relatively "fresh" mold, then levels less likely to be high enough to cause real problems. Coexisting bacterial growth may cause food poisoning.
